AFTER THE FLOOD

All of the birds fly lower now
All of the cities are sunken down
The Flood came and took our homes from us
We live where the sky once was
And no one knows East from West now
No one knows North from South now
No one has more than they need
Most of the time they go without now

Everything we tried to hold so long ago

We sail in circles, going round and round
Try to remember life on solid ground
You can peer down on the treetops now
If you give up you will go sinking down
